Frequently asked questions

Which fields are removed?

GPS coordinates, device make and model, software version, capture timestamps, embedded thumbnails, XMP/IPTC records and C2PA content credentials — you choose per group.

Does removing EXIF re-compress my photo?

No. The cleaner rewrites only the metadata sections of the file. Pixel data is copied byte-for-byte, so quality and resolution are identical.

Is my file uploaded to a server?

No. This tool runs entirely in your browser. You can open your browser's network tab and verify no request carries your file.
