What is the difference between fill and fit?
Fill scales the image to cover the whole target and crops the overflow from the center — no bars, some edges lost. Fit shrinks the image to fit inside and pads the rest — nothing lost, possible bars. Profile pictures usually want fill; screenshots usually want fit.
Does resizing reduce quality?
Downscaling keeps images sharp (high-quality resampling). Upscaling beyond the original size softens pixels — for real enlargement use our AI upscaler instead.
