Remove the background. Keep the photo private.
An AI model runs inside your browser — your photo never leaves your device, and there is no watermark or resolution cap.
How it works
Frequently asked
Is my photo uploaded to an AI server?
No. The segmentation model (IS-Net, Apache-2.0) is downloaded to your browser once and runs there via WebAssembly. Your photo never leaves your device — you can verify in the network tab. It also never trains our models.
How good are the edges?
Very good for people, products and clear subjects; extremely fine details like stray hairs on busy backgrounds can be imperfect — the same limitation cloud tools have. Full resolution is always free, with no watermark.
Which AI model is this?
IS-Net from the DIS project (Apache-2.0), quantized to run fast in the browser. We are fine-tuning our own improved versions on licensed data — updates ship as a simple model-file swap, still fully on-device.
